Public Representative
Linda Wilson’s family roots and childhood began in the southern town of Laurel, Mississippi. which has a rich history that includes a starring role in HGTV’s popular “Hometown” series. It was the childhood home of world-renowned opera legend, Leontyne Price and 4 times Olympic Gold Medalist Ralph Boston.
Residing in the College Square Neighborhood in North Long Beach, Linda is a community activist serving on the District 9 Leadership Alliance, and has been a representative on the Council of Neighborhood Organizations. Councilmember 9th District Steve Neal appointed her to the Homeless Services Advisory Committee (HSAC) under Mayor Bob Foster and continued to serve under Mayors Robert Garcia and Rex Richardson, until termed out in 2021.
Linda worked in the communication industry for over 30 years. Her areas of responsibility encompassed solving simple to complex problems, resolutions abilities and collaborative skills. Her professional experience also includes Real Estate Specialist Consultant, Broker Price Opinions on banks’ foreclosure properties, Notary Signing Agent and served on the Board of Directors of non-profit organizations.
Linda holds various business degrees and certifications. She is a Webmaster for multiple associations and holds the distinguished honor of being inducted in the National Oak Park High School Hall of Fame.
Linda’s goal is to be a valuable contributor to the Community Land Trust.
