“Building Relationship to Place” Nature Walk- Spring

March 21 @ 11:00 am 1:00 pm

Join the Long Beach CLT for the third nature walk with Tecolote of Mama Maiz & Flora y Tierra. “Building Relationship to Place” is a 4-part series honoring the seasons and 4 directions where we’ll visit local native plant restoration sites throughout Long Beach together and walk with, reflect beside, and taste local native plants!

About Tecolote:

With over a decade of experience, Tecolote is an herbalist, naturalist, and community care practitioner whose work is rooted in traditional medicine and land stewardship. This is an especially important location for Tecolote as they tended the land at Willow Spring for 7 years. Come hear from their personal experience and deep relationship to this native habitat.

*A Note on Accessibility: There is one accessible porta potty down the hill about 0.25 miles from the meeting point. The first portion of this walk will be on a leveled flat trail located at the top portion of the park (Longview Point). The second portion down the hill includes loose gravel and dirt paths, with some mild steep declines and inclines that may be challenging for some.
